Over 70 years of artisanal culture and passion.
The company’s establishment is rooted in the first post-war period, thanks to the commitment of its founder Giuseppe Vaccaro, a man of great experience and deeply in love with his land.
In the early ‘50s, Giuseppe began to vinify the indigenous grapes from his estate in Camporeale in a small workshop, already foreseeing back then the winemaking potential of this territory. His first customers were Palermo’s restaurants and inns of that time, which appreciated the skilful authenticity.

The story goes on, beyond the boundaries of Camporeale.
As years went by, the success of such limited artisanal production encouraged Giuseppe, in 1963, to purchase new land and a farmhouse in the nearby Contrada Macellarotto, with the addition of ten more hectares in 1986.
Here Giuseppe, helped by son Calogero, undertook the growing of Catarratto, Grillo, Syrah and Nero d’Avola, in strict accordance with organic farming principles.
Three family generations, one brand: “Case Alte”.
In 2010, as they reached the third generation with the involvement of Calogero’s son, Giuseppe jr., the Vaccaros decided to invest in the construction of a small cellar and the production of wines that express all the love for their land and vineyards.
The buildings that host the winery stand out on top of a ridge and this has coined the company’s name, as well as that of its wines: “Case Alte”.

Anni '50
Giuseppe inizia a vinificare
