Wind, sunshine, colours and viticultural tradition.

We are in Macellarotto, a hamlet of Camporeale, a small agricultural centre with about three thousand inhabitants in the province of Palermo and located in the Mazara Valley. Amid these hills the fertility of the soil has been known for millennia and the windy, dry and sunny climate is ideal for vine cultivation.

Such climate and soil conditions are particularly suitable for viticulture with outstanding organoleptic features.

A land making part of the appellation “Monreale DOC”

Case Alte is one of the wineries belonging to the Monreale DOC’s producers’ association, born to preserve the rural heritage, the history of farming culture and the identity of a unique territory.

“12 filari Catarratto”, “Syrah di Macellarotto” and “Bianco di Mortilli”, wines made from Catarratto and Syrah grape varieties all make part of such appellation.
